Enter the Room

Key Truth: Pursuing God’s heart often begins with choosing to be present with Jesus over the comfort of staying unseen.

Consider This: In Mark 14, a woman walks into a room where Jesus is seated. She carries costly oil, but more importantly, she carries a heart fixed on Him. This month we are focused on pursuing God’s heart and her first act teaches us something powerful. Pursuit requires movement.

She did not wait until everything felt safe. She moved toward Jesus despite the environment around her. Many women love God deeply, but hesitate to fully pursue Him when it means stepping outside of familiar expectations.

Pursuing God’s heart is not about striving harder. It is about responding to His invitation. Psalm 27:8 reminds us that God speaks first: “Seek My face.” Her actions show a heart that heard that invitation and said yes.

Girlfriends, where has Jesus been present, but you have remained at a distance?

Reflection Questions:

1. What has God been inviting me into that I have been hesitant to step toward?

2. Where in my life am I choosing safety instead of sacrificing something to pursue Jesus' heart?

3. Am I pursuing God’s heart for a relationship or simply seeking solutions to my situation?

   
   

Application: 

Choose one daily moment this week where you intentionally move toward God’s presence. Turn off distractions, open Scripture and sit with Jesus without rushing.

Prayer: 

Lord God, thank You for inviting us to pursue Your heart. Help us step out of hesitation and move toward Jesus with boldness and humility. Remove fear that keeps us from entering the room and draw us into deeper intimacy with You. Align our hearts with Your desire for relationship. In Jesus’ name, amen.
