Pursuing God’s Plan in the Deep Waters

Key Truth: God’s plan for your life does not have an expiration date. Whether you are 37 or 70, the "Water Walking" season of your life is not behind you; it is unfolding right now as you trust His voice over the wind.
Scripture Anchors:

Matthew 14:28-29
Jeremiah 29:11
Consider This: In the middle seasons of life, it is easy to believe the lie that our "adventurous" faith is over. We often settle into the "boat" of routine, past experiences or even the exhaustion of our daily responsibilities. But Peter’s story reminds us that the miracle happens outside the boat.
Pursuing God’s plan isn't about knowing every detail of the journey; it’s about responding to the one-word command: "Come." For the woman in her 40s, it may be a call to lead in a new capacity. For the woman in her 60s or 70s, it may be a call to mentor or birth a dream long deferred. Your wisdom is not meant for the shore; it is meant for the deep.
Reflection Questions:
What "boat" of comfort or familiarity have you been clinging to because it feels safer than the unknown?
When you look at the "wind and waves" in your life right now (finances, health, family), are they distracting you from The One who the wind and waves must obey?
If age and time were no object, what is one thing you believe God has placed on your heart to pursue?
Application:
This week, identify one "Step" of obedience. It doesn't have to be a leap; it just has to be a move out of the boat. This could be signing up for a class, initiating a difficult but healing conversation or dedicating thirty minutes a day to a vision God gave you years ago. Do not wait for the water to look solid, walk because He said "Come."
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank You that my purpose is not tied to my age, but to Your eternal Word. I surrender my fear of the deep. Forgive me for staying in the boat when You have called me to walk. Give me eyes to see You in the midst of the storm and ears to hear Your voice above the noise. Strengthen my legs to stand and my heart to trust. In Jesus’ name - Amen.
Closing Declaration: I am a Water Walking Woman. I am not defined by my past, nor am I limited by my age. I choose to pursue God’s plan with boldness, knowing that if He calls me to the water, He will sustain me on the waves. My future is full of hope and my walk is firm in Him!
