Pursuing Resurrection That Changes You

Key Truth: Resurrection is not just about what God brings you out of, it is about how you return after the encounter.
Scripture Anchor:
Luke 24:1-9
Romans 8:11
2 Corinthians 5:17
Consider This: The women went to the tomb expecting death, but when they arrived, everything had changed. The stone was rolled away, the tomb was empty and Heaven asked them a question that still speaks to us today: “Why do you seek the living among the dead?”

Then Scripture says something powerful that has spoken to me all this week : “WHEN THEY CAME BACK.”
My God TODAY! They came back to the same city, same people and same circumstances, but they did not come back the same way they left. That is what resurrection does; it changes how you return.
You may go back to the same workplace, but you return with peace instead of fear. You may go back to the same family situation, but this time with wisdom instead of bitterness. You may return to the same dream you abandoned, but now with renewed faith and confidence in God.
Some of us have had encounters with God, but we are still emotionally sitting at the tomb. We keep replaying what died, what failed, what broke and what did not happen the way we hoped, but resurrection calls us forward.
The women did not build a memorial at the empty tomb. They moved. They shared. They testified. They returned carrying evidence that Jesus was alive and maybe that is the invitation for all of us this month.
To come back praying again. Come back believing again. Come back loving again. Come back pursuing GOD again. Not because life suddenly became easy, but because you encountered a Savior who conquered death.
Girlfriend, when God resurrects something in your life, you cannot return silent, fearful or defeated. You come back with confidence because you have evidence.
Reflection Questions:
What area of my life have I emotionally remained at the tomb?
How is God inviting me to return differently in this season?
What has my encounter with God taught me about His power and faithfulness?
Where do I need to stop expecting death and start expecting life?
Who needs to hear the testimony of what God has brought me through?
Application:
This week, revisit something you have withdrawn from because of fear, disappointment, grief or exhaustion. Pray before you return and ask God to renew your perspective. Then take one intentional step forward.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the power of resurrection. Thank You that You are still bringing life to weary hearts, broken places and forgotten dreams. Help me not to remain stuck in places You have already called me out of.
Teach me how to return differently. Restore my faith where disappointment has settled in. Renew my mind where fear has taken root. Give me courage to walk forward in the new life You have given me.
Lord, let my life reflect Your resurrection power. When I come back to the places You’ve assigned me, let me return with wisdom, peace, boldness and hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Closing Declaration: I will not stay at the tomb of what was. I am returning with resurrection faith, renewed purpose and the confidence that Jesus is alive and working in me.
