Strong Women Need Support Too
Key Truth: Receiving help is not a failure of strength; it is a practice of godly fellowship.
Scripture Anchor:
Galatians 6:2
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
Consider This: You’re the dependable one. The prayer warrior. The woman who answers the phone and figures it out. But who knows when YOU need help?
Sometimes we suffer in silence because we don’t want to be a burden. Yet Scripture tells us to bear one another’s burdens. How can someone help carry what she doesn’t know you’re carrying?
Galatians 6 also speaks about personal responsibility. Fellowship doesn’t mean handing someone your whole life to manage. It means allowing someone to help when the weight is more than you can bear alone. Sis, maybe you need a ride, a meal, a listening ear, or someone to sit beside you while you make a difficult call.
I heard this once: "Make the need specific, so the support can be spot on."

And when another woman shares her burden, ask: “Would it help most if I listened, prayed, or helped you take a next step?” Sometimes love offers wisdom and sometimes love washes the dishes.
Reflection Questions:
What am I carrying that I need help with?
Do I freely offer support but resist receiving it? Why?
Application:
Make one clear request this week: “Could you help me with _______ by _____?” If you are offering support, name something you can realistically do and follow through.
Prayer: Lord, free me from the pressure to carry everything alone. Help me ask clearly, receive graciously, and serve faithfully. Show us how to make Your love tangible for one another. In Jesus’ name - amen.
Closing Declaration: I can be strong in The Lord and supported. I will ask for help and offer help with love.
