Loved Enough to Grow
Key Truth: Godly fellowship gives us both the comfort to keep going and the loving challenge to keep growing.
Scripture Anchor:
Proverbs 27:6
Proverbs 27:17
Hebrews 10:24
Consider This: Girlfriend, a sister who loves you can celebrate your progress and ask about your patterns. “Have you taken that next step?” "Does that choice line up with what you believe?” “You said you needed rest. Have you made room for it?”
Godly fellowship makes space for comfort AND correction.
Hebrews tells us to consider one another and that takes attention. What encourages this woman? Where is she struggling? How can I help her move toward love and obedience?
Sharpening is not permission to be harsh, but truth should be spoken with humility and received with discernment. A trustworthy sister will point you toward Scripture while respecting your responsibility to make decisions before God.
A loving challenge should help you grow, not make you feel small.
And fellowship needs more than a good moment. It needs a rhythm. A check-in. A prayer. A promise kept.
As we close out this month's we realize that October can end without our connection ending. Stay connected with a sister - she needs you and you need her.
Reflection Questions:
Am I willing to receive loving truth as readily as encouragement?
What simple rhythm would help me build a deeper, consistent relationship?
Application:
Invite a trusted sister into a weekly 15-minute check-in for the next month. Ask each other:
How is your heart?
What is God teaching you through His Word?
What next step can I support you in taking?
Follow up on what you shared the week before.
Prayer: Lord, teach us to love with tenderness and truth. Make us humble enough to receive correction and faithful enough to encourage growth. Help our fellowship bear fruit in how we live. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Closing Declaration: I will pursue fellowship that strengthens my faith, shapes my character, and stirs me toward love and good works.
