Pursue God with Expectation

Key Truth: Expectation is the atmosphere where faith grows. When we come expecting God to move, we position our hearts to recognize His voice, receive His truth and respond to His leading.
Scripture Anchor:
Hebrews 11:6
Jeremiah 33:
Consider This: Have you ever noticed how expectation changes the way you approach something? When you expect good news, you answer the phone differently. When you expect company, you prepare your home (I just did that Sunday). When you expect a package, you watch for its arrival.
Expectation changes your posture.
The same is true spiritually. Many believers have stopped expecting God to speak because life has disappointed them. Prayers seemed unanswered. Doors remained closed. Waiting became longer than anticipated. Slowly, faith became routine and pursuit became passive.
But can I remind you of something, "God will never stop inviting us to seek Him."
Every time you open His Word, expect Him to reveal truth. Every time you pray, expect Him to hear you. Every time you worship, expect Him to meet you. Every time you surrender, expect Him to transform you.
God may not always answer according to our timetable or preferences, but He always responds according to His perfect character.
As many of us prepare for the Pursue Women's Conference, let's come with hearts full of expectation, not because of a speaker, a worship team or the resort, but because God promises to meet those who diligently seek Him. So, whether you'll be joining us at the conference or seeking Him from home, His invitation remains the same:
Seek Me, and you will find Me.

Reflection Questions:
What am I genuinely expecting God to do in my life right now?
Has disappointment caused me to lower my expectations of God?
Where is God inviting me to trust His character instead of my circumstances?
Application:
This week, begin each day by praying, "Lord, open my eyes to see You at work today."
Then intentionally look for His fingerprints throughout your day. Record one way you saw God's faithfulness each evening, whether through Scripture, answered prayer, unexpected provision, encouragement, conviction or peace.
Expectation grows when we learn to recognize God's active activity.
Prayer: Father, forgive me for the times I've allowed disappointment to diminish my expectation of You. Thank You that Your faithfulness is not determined by my circumstances, but by Your unchanging character. Renew my faith to believe that You still speak, still guide, still provide, still heal and still transform lives. As I pursue You, help me to expect Your presence every day, not only during special moments but in the ordinary rhythms of life. Open my eyes to recognize You at work around me and within me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Closing Declaration: I choose to pursue God with expectation. I believe He is faithful to those who seek Him. My heart is open, my faith is growing and I will recognize His presence as He reveals Himself each day.
